social action

On November 4th, Americans will go to the polls and vote for the candidate of their choice.  It is their right and their responsibility.  Many of our parents and grandparents had to fight for this right.  We owe it to them and to ourselves and our country to cast our ballot for the candidate of our choice.  On the pushcart in the Narthex, you will find voter registration forms that you can complete and send to the Board of Elections or, if you prefer, complete it and leave it in the box and we will send it in for you.  Who should register?  Anyone who has never registered, has moved, or wishes to change party affiliation.

The St. Vincent de Paul Mobile Clothing Truck will return to St. Gabriel on September 27 & 28 from 3PM Saturday until 1:30PM Sunday.  Please look into your closets for clothing that is still clean and useable.  This includes socks, shoes, underwear, sweats, tennis shoes, blouses, skirts, jeans, suits (men and women) and children's clothing.  Sorry, we cannot collect furniture, computers, but children's small toys are acceptable.  Towels, wash cloths, blankets, sheets are just great!
