As we begin a new liturgical year, we remember that God, our Father, has enriched us with his Spirit. At times, we ignore what God has done for us and wander off on our own path. Jesus tells his disciples to be alert, to be ready, and to watch. In short, he tells them to be full of hope. How ready are we? How full of hope? Christians during this Advent season must be fully alive and fully engaged. Find time to celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation and acknowledge your need for God's mercy and guidance. We must be active in our pursuit of the Lord, looking around every corner and eager for his return. We must be people of hope!
