New seminarian assigned to St. Gabriel

I am pleased to inform you that Archbishop William Lori appointed Seminarian Iyeli "Bienvenu" Ilanga for a year of pastoral experience at St. Gabriel and St. Charles Borromeo in Pikesville. A pastoral year in the course of formation for the priesthood is a time when the seminarian is away from the intellectual demands of seminary life, to experience firsthand the more practical side of things in a parish setting. It is an important part of priestly formation for a seminarian to spend a year at a parish to get real world experience as they continue formation and discernment for the priesthood.

Bienvenu is studying at Saint Mary's Seminary and University in Baltimore. He started with us on June 5, 2023. We look forward to having him among us!
